For the seventeenth consecutive year MWC participated in the Maine Organic Farmer’s and Gardener’s Association Common Ground Fair in Unity, Maine. This year, in excess of 50,000 people attended the fair, many of whom saw or visited MWC’s booth. (see photo) MWC was born at the Common Ground Fair in September 1994 where we set up our first booth and got our first members. We’ve been at the fair ever since!
Meredith Kellogg has been named MWC’s Education & Outreach Coordinator. Meredith has been a wolf advocate since the age of nine. She is a graduate of Unity College in Unity, Maine and is currently a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine. She is a frequent volunteer at Wolf Park in Indiana and is their Northeast Ambassador. She has also worked as an interpretive guide at a state park. Meredith is presently developing wolf programs for schools and other groups. She is available on a limited basis to present wolf programs in and around Portland, Maine.
